We signed up for Blinkbox to play films on our Kindle fire only to find that it is not possible to download the app. This may be our fault for not checking compatibility but our main concern was our experience of the customer service this company provides.
First of all it is impossible to speak with anybody at the company. There is a support service provided through a web portal but despite asking we were not given with telephone contact details. We were amazed that a reputable company like Tesco would deliver such a poor customer experience. It was all really frustrating and we were not able to resolve issues through correspondence and have given up.
We are sure that many people will not experience these sorts of problems and will be satisfied once everything is up and running but we had a poor experience which and more evidence of concern from Blinkbox would have helped. Customer service is clearly not a priority of this company and our experience has affected our view of Tesco which up until now had been relatively positive.
In summary, I would not recommend BlinkBox to a friend.
